And Now, a Word from Our (Copyright Law) Sponsor...

This has been out for a few years, but I recently discovered it and think it's really cute.

Ha! I love it when people stick it to the Evil Mouse! The Simpsons also have a great fun skewering Disney. No love lost there.
One of these days you're going to have to give me a crash course in how to do this copyright stuff etc as it relates to my blog. I'm trying to read that Creative Commons stuff, but it is sooo confusing (and I'm not too smart!) I really want to give credit where it is due.

ummmmmmmmk,that was still slightly confusing

Munchkinhead: only slightly?! That's good; copyright law is more than slightly confusing. Watch it again ;)

MR: The Simpsons skewering Disney sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. Anyway - the Creative Commons stuff can be confusing, but it's not too bad once it's broken down. Have you checked out their FAQ page? As far as copyright relating to your blog, are you trying to protect your blog's content or properly respect other people's content that you include in your blog?
And don't forget, I'm not a lawyer, so I can't give you any legal advice ;)

GR--my main concern is to identify what is freely useable and to give propeer credit where it is due. As for my blog...I would be flattered if someone used it...which is highly unlikely!
You will love this one...I recently bought a CD from a small family-run record distributor. On it is printed "all rights reserved. Duplication in any manner is stealing a violation of God's law also a violation of man made laws" I guess they want to cover all their bases.

MR: finding out who the rights-owner is, that's something many people struggle with, including attorneys and ppl in the industry. But you can always at least cite to where you found something if that's all you know.
Love CD liner!
