Why You Little Stinker!

I was recently working on an art project using old family photos when I came across this picture of my aunt, uncle and daddy in London.

First, look at the smirk on my aunt's face:

close up of aunt cindy's face  It's a little hard to see, but I tried to make the picture as big as I could without major distortion.

Now, take a close look at her hands:

london guards and aunt cindy's hands I've heard stories about how mischievous these kids were, but this seems to be starting awfully young.  Maybe it's just a coincidence, or an accident, or something.....   Maybe....

I'm not sure (I'll have to check with dad when I get home tonight), but I think the picture was taken in Canada, not England. Regardless, I can't believe Cindy would do that, such a naughty girl at such a young age - especially given the times we were in. That particular gesture wasn't used that much by people her age at the time - usually not till the teen years. ;)

Oh, could be Canada. I saw the read jackets and thought London, not mounties. How old do you think Auntie Cindy was in this picture? I was actually wondering if the gesture had been invented yet, but it looked so deliberate!

Here's the scoop - the picture was taken in Montreal, dad thinks he was about 6 or 7, which would put Cindy at 10 or 11. He doesn't think she was doing "the gesture' either. But it was interesting - and only you would notice something like that! ;)

MR: If my daddy was 6 or 7, it wouldn't have been '67.

Mommy: Daddy thinks only his children are naughty, never his siblings. I wish we could ask Auntie Cindy. Of course, there's a ton of things I wish I could ask her.

Munchkinhead: I was wondering the same thing.

gr - daddy said pretty much the same thing about not being able to ask her. He also didn't know where Jamie was and admitted that he didn't look too happy to be in the picture. Grampa probably took it, maybe Jamie was with grandma somewhere.
mr - it would have been in '60 or '61, so, no, not there for Expo67.

Aunt Cindy's the only one that doesn't look unhappy. And how many pictures do we have where Daddy looks happy to be in them? Maybe the one's with you and maybe one with the cherry red '67 Malibu.
